ICW-E2S01T14-Specification: FR-048 Traceability Wiring Hardening

Task: E2:S01:T14
Related FR: FR-048
Host Task: T14-rw-trigger-extensions-multiple-use-cases-fr048.md
Created: 2026-04-09

Executive Summary

This specification defines the post-release planning baseline for E2:S01:T14 so traceability wiring for FR-backed RW work remains deterministic, auditable, and reusable for E2:S01:T15.

Problem Statement

Even when FR/task wiring is complete, drift can reappear through partial updates (FR-only edits, story-only edits, or task-only edits) unless invariants are documented and tested as a single contract.

Scope

In scope:

  • FR/task/story bidirectional wiring invariants for FR-048/T14.
  • Planning artifacts needed by Implementation Cycle Step 3a/3b.
  • Reuse constraints for subsequent E2:S01:T15 planning.

Out of scope:

  • Net-new workflow feature implementation.
  • Runtime behavior changes beyond established released behavior.

Functional Invariants (Specification)

  1. FR metadata invariant:
    • FR has canonical Code and Implementing Task.
  2. Task housing invariant:
    • Task exists under semantically correct host story path.
  3. Story checklist invariant:
    • Story task checklist contains task row and FR link.
  4. Bidirectional invariant:
    • FR -> Task link and Task -> FR link are both present.
  5. Release metadata invariant:
    • Task uses release fields (Status, Version, Version Anchor) consistently.

Acceptance Assertions

  • FR-048 points to E2:S01:T14.
  • T14 references FR-048 and Story host.
  • Story checklist contains complete row for T14.
  • No one-way or stale links remain among FR/task/story.

Governance Alignment

  • KG-R2 (atomic intake/wiring): Maintained through explicit cross-links in one host story.
  • KG-R6 (semantic hosting): Task is housed under RW Story 001, not a generic repository bucket.

T15 Follow-up Delta (Preview)

For E2:S01:T15, apply identical invariants with ID/path substitutions:

  • FR-048 -> FR-049
  • E2:S01:T14 -> E2:S01:T15
  • T14 release markers -> T15 release markers

No new invariant types are expected; only identifier and evidence updates are required.
