Test Strategy Overview

Testing Objectives

Validate that all release automation components work correctly with the new task-touch SemVer tagging system and identify any compatibility issues, security vulnerabilities, or performance regressions.

Test Scope

  • GitHub Actions CI/CD pipeline integration
  • Badge workflow version generation and updating
  • GitHub Release script auto-detection mode
  • Security and compliance validation
  • Performance impact assessment

  • Compatibility Tests: Verify existing automation works with new tags
