Overview​

Update the Release Workflow YAML and all related documentation to reflect the complete PDCA integration, including Steps 12-13, enhanced PLAN and DO phases, and all templates and examples.

  • Current RW documentation

  • Updated workflow YAML with Steps 12-13
  • Updated workflow reference documentation
  • Updated README
  • Migration guide for existing projects
  • Updated cross-references
  • Validated workflow structure

Approach​

  1. Update Workflow YAML:

    • Add Steps 12-13 to release-workflow.yaml
    • Update step dependencies
    • Update workflow version
    • Validate YAML structure

  2. Update Workflow Reference:

    • Update release-workflow-reference.md
    • Add Steps 12-13 documentation
    • Update step count (11 → 13)
    • Update dependency graph
    • Update execution phases

  3. Update README:

    • Update workflow description
    • Add PDCA cycle information
    • Update step count
    • Add PDCA benefits

  4. Create Migration Guide:

    • Guide for existing projects
    • Step-by-step migration instructions
    • Backward compatibility notes
    • Common issues and solutions

  5. Update Cross-References:

    • Update all references to RW steps
    • Update step count references
    • Update workflow structure references
    • Update examples

  6. Validate Workflow Structure:

    • Validate YAML syntax
    • Validate step dependencies
    • Validate workflow completeness
    • Test workflow execution

  • Reference documentation updated

  • Migration guide created

  • Backward compatibility maintained where possible
  • E2:S02:T01 – Add CHECK Phase (provides Step 12 content)
  • E2:S02:T02 – Add ACT Phase (provides Step 13 content)
  • E2:S02:T03 – Enhance PLAN Phase (provides PLAN enhancements)
  • E2:S02:T04 – Enhance DO Phase (provides DO enhancements)
  • E2:S02:T05 – Create PDCA templates and examples (provides templates)
