Overview
The pre-release feedback mechanism enables systematic collection, analysis, and integration of user feedback during the pre-release phase of framework distribution. This mechanism captures installation experience, post-installation state, framework usability, and issues encountered to inform framework improvements and support decisions.
Feedback Categories
1. Installation Experience
Purpose: Capture user experience during framework installation
Metrics:
- Installation ease (1-5 scale)
- Installation time
- Clarity of instructions
- Issues encountered
- Error messages received
Questions:
- How easy was the installation process?
- Were the installation instructions clear?
- Did you encounter any errors during installation?
- How long did installation take?
- What was your overall installation experience?
2. Post-Installation State
Purpose: Understand what the project looks like after installation
Metrics:
- Project structure created
- Files generated
- Configuration completed
- Initial state validation
Questions:
- What files/directories were created?
- Was the project structure as expected?
- Were all expected files present?
- Was initial configuration successful?
- Did the project state match documentation?
3. Framework Usability
Purpose: Assess how easy the framework is to use
Metrics:
- Ease of use (1-5 scale)
- Documentation clarity
- Workflow understanding
- Tool usability
- Learning curve
Questions:
- How easy is the framework to use?
- Is the documentation clear and helpful?
- Do you understand the workflows?
- Are the tools intuitive?
- What is your learning curve experience?
4. Issues Encountered
Purpose: Identify bugs, problems, and blockers
Metrics:
- Bug reports
- Error messages
- Unexpected behavior
- Missing features
- Documentation gaps
Questions:
- What bugs did you encounter?
- What errors did you see?
- What unexpected behavior occurred?
- What features are missing?
- What documentation gaps exist?
Feedback Collection Mechanism
Collection Points

- Email surveys (optional)
- In-app prompts (if applicable)
3. Issue Reporting
- GitHub issues (public)
- Internal tracking (private)
- Direct contact (for critical issues)
Collection Format
